Gummy Smile (Botulinum)

A gummy smile, or excessive gingival display, occurs when an individual shows a significant amount of gum tissue while smiling. By injecting botulinum toxin into specific muscles.

Two injections of botulinum toxin into the Levator Labii Superioris and Levator Labii Superioris Alaeque Nasi muscles. These muscles usually elevate the upper lip. By relaxing these muscle, the treatment aims to avoid excessive lifting of the upper lip during smiling or talking, thus the condition can be mitigated.
